Contamination Control Wetting Agent (CC Wet) is used to reduce airborne contamination in the workplace and to prevent contamination from becoming airborne during work activity. CC Wet is water-based, non-toxic and non-hazardous. It is typically applied using garden sprayers and misters. CC Wet is being used at DOE sites in highly contaminated plutonium and uranium areas. In other areas at the same DOE weapons sites, CC Wet is used to control airborne beryllium regulated areas and on asbestos abatement projects.

Use of CC Wet has greatly reduced the risk toward workers and increased productivity by eliminating the necessity to wear supplied air hoods, suits, and respirators.
